John J. Tunney, Jr., 75, of Apopka, Florida, passed away January 26, 2016. Mr. Tunney was born January 22, 1941 in Avella, PA. He was in Sales. Mr. Tunney is survived by his loving wife Bonnie Tunney; children Amy Baker, Lynne Crossland, Matthew Tunney; sisters Kathleen Wilson and Patricia Bassler; 7 grandchildren. There will be an open house for friends and family from 1-4 pm on February 7 at the Tunney's home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your favorite charity, Cornerstone Hospice or the USO in John's name.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
