JoAnn Gerhartz, 73, of Apopka, FL, passed away December 05, 2015. Mrs. Gerhartz was born July 13, 1942 in Milwaukee, WI. She worked in the Retail Industry. Mrs. Gerhartz is survived by her loving husband Walter Gerhartz of Apopka; daughters Jessica Gerhartz-Briscoe of Mt Dora and Jacquelin Gerhartz of Apopka and son Walter Edwin Gerhartz; sister Jerilyn Goetz of Summerfield, FL; 7 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
