Robert Richard Gibson, Jr., 59, of Ocoee, Florida, passed away September 29, 2015. Mr. Gibson was born September 4, 1956 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was a Retired Laborer from local 517. He is preceded in death by his parents Robert R. Gibson Sr. and Frances Gibson; brothers Steven Gibson and Kenneth Gibson. He is survived by his loving son Wayne Gibson; siblings Pamela O'Donnell, Ginger Tamilia and Jeffery Gibson; grandchildren Mackenzie and William.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
