Nicholas "Nick" Edward Bender, 71, of Apopka, Florida, passed away August 25, 2015. Mr. Bender was born December 24, 1943 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was a Mason in the Construction Industry. He is preceded in death by his sisters Molly Hamilton, Tina Fraizer and Barbara Appling; he is survived by his loving wife Donna Bender of Apopka; children Megan Bender, Tony Bender, Frank Bender and Eddie Bender; sisters Gloria Stover and Leota Williams; 3 grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Comforter.
Celebration of Life will be held September 19, 2015 at 4:00PM at Gloria and Steve Stover's residence in OH.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
