Mary S. Lundberg, age 62, of Ocoee, Florida died Monday, August 10, 2015.
She was born in Jamestown, New York on September 14, 1952, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Sophia Slayton. She married J. Brian Lundberg on August 17, 1974.
Mary attended Jamestown High School before obtaining her BA from Hiram College in 1974.
She taught elementary school for over thirty years in Norwich, New York, Orlando, Florida and Salisbury, Maryland. She was the recipient of the 1999 Disney Teacheriffic Award in the Elementary School Category.
She and her husband were members of the Bethesda United Methodist Church in Salisbury, Maryland.
Family and friends were Mary's passion and delight. She and Brian with dear friends enjoyed special vacations in Portugal, Czech Republic, France, Poland, Germany and Italy.
In addition to her husband Mary is survived by her sons Erik (Danielle) of Poulsbo, Washington and Grant (Elaine) of Winter Garden, Florida. She has one daughter Jane (Kevin) Birdsong of Clermont, Florida. Also surviving are six grandchildren Ethan, Samuel, Gavin, and Ada Lundberg and Benjamin and Meredith Birdsong.
She also leaves behind her sister Marjorie (Craig) Taylor of Sarasota, Florida and her brother Lee (Linda) Slayton of Greenfield, Indiana along with several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank all those who cared for and visited her throughout her illness.
Burial will be in the Lake View Cemetery in Jamestown, New York at the convenience of the family.
