John Douglas "Doug" Chatburn, 75, of Lake Mary, Florida, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014. He was born April 09, 1939 in Philadelphia, PA. He was the 1st Sony American (1969), Vice President of Sony Corporation Sales in Consumer Electronics, a Boy Scout Leader and Chief of the YMCA Indian Guides. Mr. Chatburn is survived by his children Carolyn Hickerson, TN, David Chatburn, Orlando, FL, Noelle Gordon, GA, Michael Chatburn, Sanford, FL; siblings Tom, SC, Judy Peterson, PA, David, PA; 7 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
