Arlene Ellen Brock, 74, of Apopka, Florida, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2014. She was born June 30, 1940 in Parkersburg, West Virginia. Mrs. Brock was a Certified Nurses Assistant. She is survived by her husband Hubert Brock of Apopka; children Frank Chancellor of Apopka, FL, Charlene S. Fulton of West Virginia, Pamela Hernandez of Winter Garden, FL, Mary Ann Bermudez of Apopka, FL; brother Tom of West Virginia; 23 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
