Azimi, Jacob Freydoon, 26 years, of Sorrento, FL, formerly of Charlottesville, VA, departed from this life peacefully on July 4, 2014. Born February 23, 1988, in Charlottesville, VA to Mohsen Amir Azimi and Paula Veldhuis Azimi, his life passed by all too quickly and he will be sorely missed. He graduated from Albemarle High School, in Charlottesville, VA, in 2006. He was an accomplished musician with a continual and avid thirst for knowledge. His wit and charm were enjoyed by all who were blessed to know him. He is survived by his father, Mohsen, of Charlottesville, VA, his mother, Paula Veldhuis, of Sorrento, FL, and two sisters: Simone Azimi Parker ( and her husband Nate) of Richmond, VA, and Matti Veldhuis of Sorrento. Funeral arrangements are with Loomis Funeral Homes, Apopka, FL, and services are Tuesday, July 8, at 2:30 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 115 N. Christiana Ave., Apopka, FL, with Dr. John Reynolds officiating.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

I will miss you terribly jacob, I'm sorry we didn't get much time to hang out the last year or so. I remember spending many a lunch, day off, or night laughing and debating pretty much every day for the years we did. I love you man. My heart goes out to his family, as well.

Dear Paula, Amir, and Family,I just learned the news about Jacob, and we are all so sorry for your terrible loss. Though we hadn't seen Jacob in years, I know my entire family has so many wonderful memories of all those years our two boys spent together. All the sleep-overs, meals, birthday parties, and adventures they shared. Jacob was certainly one of the smartest kids around and I remember him helping me with computer issues! (He also was the one to crack the parental codes on the TV!!) I know I speak for all of us when I say he will be remembered as a smart, kind, and witty person. We are all so sorry for your loss. Ann and Nancy in Charlottesville remember Jacob from meetings we attended together. Jacob always had a quick wit and said sometimes very profound things.And we think fondly of how much he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. He is missed.
