Mr. Jose Isaias de la Torre, 91, of Orlando, FL, passed away July 02, 2014. He was born March 06, 1923 in Sandiego del Valle, Cuba. He was a Pastor. Mr. de la Torre was one of the founders of the SDA of Apopka, Silver Star and a family man. Mr. de la Torre is survived by his children David Martin, Jose Isaias both of Orlando, FL; sister Violeta Bence of Avon Park, FL; grandchildren Evelyn, Seydel, Maydelin, David, Ricky, Joselyn, Joserlys, Jose Adrian; great grandchildren Sailys, Mayelin, Evyana, Lianys, Jordan, Davin.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
