Otis Edwin Cox, Jr., 31, of Orlando, passed away Wednesday, June 25, 2014. He was born May 27, 1983 in Winter Garden, Florida. He was a Carpenter. Mr. Cox is survived by his loving wife, Kendra Cox of Orlando; mother, Martha Mathes of Apopka; son, Otis Edwin Cox, III of Orlando; sisters, Becky Mahoney of Mt. Dora, Tracy Acker of Apopka, Wendy Huber of Apopka, Cindy Rotarius of Eustis and Amy Fagerman of Apopka.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
