Lucy S. Rivera, 79, of Orlando, passed away Monday, June 16, 2014. She was born October 31, 1934 in Santurce, Puerto Rico. She was a Customer Service Representative for Florida Hospital and a very active member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Mrs. Rivera is survived by her loving husband, Anthony Rivera of Orlando; daughter, Nancy Martinez of Eustis; son, Jimmy Fuentes of Massachusetts; brother, George Santiago of Puerto Rico; 3 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

My Mama was such a beautiful woman! She was young at heart and happy all the time! She hurt when you hurt and made you laugh, but more than anything she loved BIG, She loved her family endlessly and without reason and she had that same passion for her God and her community and church!
