Belva Sheets Maynard, 53, of Zellwood, passed away Wednesday, June 11, 2014. She was born January 11, 1961 in Phoenix, AZ and moved to Central Florida 25 years ago from TN. She was a Homemaker and a member of Zellwood United Methodist Church. Mrs. Maynard was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Nelson and husband, James Allen (J.A.) Maynard. Mrs. Maynard is survived by son, Daniel Adam (Beth) Pendergrass; daughter, Angela Maynard (Otis G. Ford, Jr.); siblings, David Nelson, Tammie Pickard, Candy Odom and Nellie Spencer; 8 grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Carter, Nandy Nelson, Chassidy and David Odom, Frankie and Casey Ford, Kami Holt. The family of Mrs. Maynard would like to extend special thanks to Mitchell and Karen Maynard; Zellwood United Methodist Church; Steve, Elizabeth and Savannah Hammon
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
