Mr. John Newell O’Brien, 64, of Sanford, FL, passed away May 07, 2014. He was born December 05, 1949 in Rockville Centre, New York. Mr. O’Brien was a Journeyman Electrician and served in the US Air Force. Mr. O’Brien is survived by his loving wife Claire O’Brien; mother Grace O’Brien; brothers Craig O’Brien, Shaun O’Brien and Patrick O’Brien.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
