Rickey Edward Allen, Sr., 45, of Apopka, passed away Thursday, April 03, 2014. He was born October 29, 1968 in Orlando. He was a Construction Worker and a member of the Orioles Club; he was a diehard Gator Fan, NASCAR Fan, enjoyed air boating; being around a fire with family & friends and you could always find him at Wekiva Falls. His son’s first job was working with him and they enjoyed playing golf together. Mr. Allen is survived by his mother, Virginia Shelley of Apopka; children, Lonnie Sanders of Bithlo, Rickey Allen, Jr. of Apopka, Dominque Allen of Apopka, Brooke Allen of Clermont and Alexis Allen of Ohio; sister, Sharlene Hohm of Apopka; three grandchildren, Walker, Preston and Jesiah.

there's so many memories I could share ! from riding to just hanging out ! but will always remember how he got his "nick name" shake-in-bake ! we were in tenn at ottos for 4th of july..all the guys had fireworks . party time ! they talked rickey into being the "lite the fuse guy" after the first few that exploded..and hit the windows and went boom…ahhh pretty!! rickey was real shaky about lighting them ! but he was real good at shaking the popcorn over the fire from then on ! will miss you big guy ! but you will always have a special spot in our hearts.
