SUSAN VIRGINIA HUBLER, 87, of Apopka, passed away Thursday, February 20, 2014. She was born October 20, 1926 in Zellwood, Florida. She grew up in Zellwood, moved to Apopka and graduated from Apopka Memorial High School in what is now the courthouse. She was raised during the depression and she always had a full pantry and a little money socked away in case there was another depression. She married her childhood sweetheart, Leon Edward Ryals, October 26, 1946 until he passed away in 1960. Then she later married Harold Huber, until he passed away in 2001. She was a Homemaker and a member of Rocks Springs Baptist Church. Her proudest accomplishment was raising three kids that became productive citizens. She would keep goodies for neighborhood kids that otherwise wouldn’t have any. She took up oil painting in the in her 60’s and enjoyed sharing oils with any kid interest. She was very proud of her Goolsby family tree. She didn’t sugarcoat the Goolsby deeds; she was a hoot about the old stories. She was strong willed and feisty right up to going home to the Lord. Mrs. Hubler is survived by her children, Victoria Longacre, Leon E. Ryals, Jr. and Roger E. Ryals all of Apopka; six grandchildren, Starla, Rocky, Chelsea, Heather, Joshua and Byron; 3 great grandchildren, Mckayla, Degon and Cadence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of the Comforter, 480 West Central Parkway, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32714, 407-682-0808.
