Edna L. Smithson, 78, of Orlando, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014. She was born January 28, 1935 in Franklin, TN to the late Robert and Robbie (Barnes) Heithcock. Edna was a housewife. Mrs. Smithson is survived by her loving children, John (Tarinda) Smithson of Leesburg, FL, Diane (Gary) Brewer of Orlando, FL, Randy (Geri) Smithson of Clermont, FL and Lee (Maryann) Stevens of Nashville, TN; siblings, Robert Milton (Wilma) Heithcock of Franklin, TN, Samuel (Betty) Heithcock of Franklin, TN and Mae (Larry) White of Shelbyville, TN; 10 grandchildren, Robby Smithson, Lonny Smithson, Shannon Brewer, Kimberlee McCulley, Krissy Gardner, Randy Smithson, Lacy Smithson, Kane Smithson, Troy Stevens and Stacy Marshall; 10 great grandchildren.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Nanny, Words can not describe what a WONDERFUL women you were. You have always been there for me. I am very blessed to have had you in mine and Coby's life!
