I was fortunate to work as Duane's assistant architect for several years at Schweizer Associates in Orlando. Duane was not only a fine person and excellent mentor he was the most talented designer I have known. His influence on major architectural projects like Orlando International Airport, Orange County Public Library, Calvary Assembly, Florida Southern College and so many, many more outstanding buildings truly has made our world a better place. Duane and I talked about our faith on a number of occasions and I know he trusted Christ as his Savior. We miss this wonderful exemplary man but look forward to meeting again one day in a city "whose architect and builder is God". Bob and Diane Miller and family

Like Bob, I too had the pleasure of working with Duane, at times up to 90 hours/week! I have fond memories of him and also regard Duane as a consummate Architect. As a mentor and guide, he was always fair and easy-going. I am not alone in this view of Duane and will always remember him and the valued times we spent working with Nils at Schweizer Associates in Winter Park.He will be missed. My heart-felt condolences to Cynthia and his family.Brooks Weiss, Architect
