Maria C. Perez, age 77, of Bronx, NY, passed away on Thursday, November 28, 2013. She was born on July 24, 1936 in Catano, PR to Juan and Clara Figeroa. Ms. Perez was a Catholic.
Ms. Perez is survived by her loving children, Carmen Centeno, Daniel Rivera, and Eva Rivera, all of NY, and Maria Ramos of Longwood; sister, Carmen Williams of Kissimmee; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
