Rosalie M. Jones, age 75, of Apopka, passed away on Monday, November 11, 2013. Born on May 10, 1938 in Cleveland, OH, she moved to the Central Florida area 42 years ago from Erie, PA. Mrs. Jones was a Catholic and worked in the grocery industry.
Mrs. Jones is survived by her loving husband, Donald Jones; children, Deborah Jones, Gregory Jones, Cheryl Casey, and Kimberly Ricci; brother, Bill Lash; and nine grandchildren.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

I was lucky enough to have worked with Rose for many years in the grocery industry and all I can say is how I remember the laughter. She had a way of bringing a smile to all that came in contact with her. her personality was infectious. My thoughts and prayers go out to her husband and family whom she spoke of often and with so much pride. She will be greatly missed by so many of us she has touched throughout the years.
