Jean N. Craig, age 86, of Altamonte Springs, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2013. She was born on December 08, 1926 in Miami to Ingwald and Eula Newgard. Mrs. Craig is survived by her loving husband, Ralph W. Craig, Sr. and her son, Ralph W. Craig, Jr.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. My mother's obituary left out her other 3 children, Sharon Elizabeth Philbrick and her husband, Christopher, Kathryn Joan Craig Hoover and her husband, Robert, Ralph W. Craig Jr. and his wife, Lynda, and Jonathan W. Craig and his wife, Olivia Stamates. She also is survived by 6 grandchildren, Jodi Hoover, Jason Hoover and his wife Jacqulynne, Jordan Hoover, Carli Hoover, Candice Craig and Corey Craig. Dr. Frank Newgard, her brother, also survives her along with many nephews and nieces and their families. She spent 50 years in Takoma Park, Maryland, raising her family, giving of her time at church and helping out with my brothers business. She gave to many, her love, time, money, friendship and was a hard worker. She lived for the Lord and her church and waits for Jesus and His second coming. Come soon, Lord Jesus!
