F. ALBERT HOWELL, 82, of Apopka, passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2013. He was born January 22, 1931 and raised in Tampa, FL. He was an Ordinance Engineer for Lockheed Martin for over 30 years and a veteran of the US Navy. Mr. Howell is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Thelma; children, Alan (Karen) Howell, Victoria (Barbara) Howell, Laura (Donald) Ramsey and Gary (Lisa) Howell; brother, Kent (Nancy) Howell; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
