STANLEY F. SHOLLENBERGER, age 96, of Apopka, FL, passed away Friday, June 28, 2013. He was born April 01, 1917 in Reading, PA and moved to Central Florida 20 years ago. He was a Business Owner and a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Shollenberger is survived by his son, Lee (Jennifer) Shollenberger of Apopka; daughter, Lynn (George) Freeman of Dorchester, MA; grandsons, Michael Freeman, Marc and Nicholas Shollenberger; granddaughter, Donna (John) Moynihan; great grandsons, Nolan Freeman, Aidan Freeman, John Moynihan and Coleman Moynihan; great granddaughters, Kathryn Freeman and Nora Moynihan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to a charity of your choice.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
