DELORIS PALM ALLEN, age 86, of Maitland, Florida passed away Tuesday, June 04, 2013. She was born June 27, 1926 in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Central Florida in 2012 from Hollywood, Florida. She was a homemaker and member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollywood. Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her twin sister, Virginia Kelly; son, Robert Bernard Allen and her loving husband, Marvin William Allen. Mrs. Allen is survived by son, Richard Allen and his wife, Laura Allen; daughters, Nansi Ellis and her husband, Jim Ellis and Virginia Oros and her husband, Thom Oros; grandchildren, Danielle and Connor; great grandchildren, Olivia and Emmalie. This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
