Robert Stanley Rosen, 85, of Apopka, died Saturday, December 11, 2021, in AdventHealth Hospital. Born in New York City in 1936, the son of George Rosen and Mildred Lebo Rosen. Robert was a retired Captain in the U.S. Navy. He graduated Columbia College, Naval Postgraduate School, George Washington University, and the University of Central Florida.
Robert served in the United States Navy from 1958 to 1988 (Submariner) and was awarded the Legion of Merit and the Navy Meritorious Service Medal among other military metals. Among the many achievements of his carrier, Robert was a particularly proud of becoming a plank holder of the USS Kamehameha (SSBN 642).
He is survived by Annette Conley Rosen, his wife of 58 years. They enjoyed attending the Winter Park Playhouse, the Bob Car Theater, and the Dr. Philips Center with family. Among the many clubs and organizations he was involved with, Robert supported the Apopka Rotary and Foliage Sertoma Club, he was an active member of the Retired Submarine Veterans, and he had the honor of serving as the Grand Marshall of the Apopka Christmas Parade in 2015. Robert is also survived by his children Laura Martin and George Rosen, and his grandchildren Daniel Martin and Scott Rosen.
Robert enjoyed playing golf with family and close friends.

Mrs Cap’n Bob, I just found out! I am sorry. I wish I had heard sooner. Enjoy your many wonderful memories. I know you had many. I enjoyed knowing you both and the many Rotary and SERTOMA meetings we attended together.
