Edgar B. King Jr. “Sonny”, 83, of Zellwood, Florida passed away on January 28, 2022. Mr. King was born on December 15, 1938 in Orlando, Florida. He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Rosa King and his sister Patsy Ryan. He is survived by loving wife Carolyn King; children Melanie (Randy) Brown of Apopka, Florida, and Christi King of Fort Pierce, Florida; stepchildren Teresa (Matt) Stahl of Eustis, Florida, Robbie (Susan) Manley of Apopka, Florida and Mark Manley of Wildwood, Florida; siblings Sarah (Dan) Rich of Apopka, Florida, Nancy (Wayne) Thomas of Sorrento, Florida and Tina Douglas of Eustis, Florida; as well as 9 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Sonny will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
