Juanita West Orton, 83, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 18, 2022. Mrs. Orton was born on September 17, 1938 to the late Amos and Era West in Eufaula, Alabama. Mrs. Orton is preceded in death by her loving husband Melvin Oscar Orton; as well as her sisters Emogene Cullifer, Nina West and Lillian Hallman. She is survived by her children Wylee (Linda) West Orton, Yvonne (Ken) Orton-Pitts and Nina (John) VanCooney; sister Sara Welska; grandchildren Lyndsey (Brad) Orton Perrine, Audrea Orton, Samual Orton, Westlee (Elena) Orton, Justin Pitts, Ashley Pitts and Christian Pitts; as well as her great granddaughter Zoey Perrine. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
