Donald Alfred Wheeler, 87, of Mount Dora, Florida passed away on August 18, 2022. Mr. Wheeler was born on November 26, 1934 to the late Linwood and Esther Wheeler in Calais, Maine. Mr. Wheeler is preceded in death by his siblings Beverly MacArthur and Everlyn Cotton. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanette Wheeler; children Stanley (Janet) Wheeler, and Donna (Dwayne) Leigh Colburn; grandchildren Patrick, Heather, Jonathan, Phillip and Brandon; great grandchildren Natalie, Caitlyn, Jackson, Saralynn, Lydia, Lucy, Nicholas and Bradley. He served at West Orlando Baptist Church where he will be missed dearly.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
