Leonard Dale Priest, 71, of Sorrento, Florida passed away on August 20, 2022. Mr. Priest was born on May 22, 1951 to the late Dale and Mary Priest in Mount Clemons, Michigan. Mr. Priest is preceded in death by his sister Shirley. He is survived by his loving wife Doris Marie Priest; children Amy (Johnnie), Mindy (Jeremy), Jennifer (Robert), and Adam; grandchildren Alexander, Bradley, Alice (Dylan), O’Rien, Trenton, Trinity and Benjamin; niece Chrissi; as well as his siblings Paula and Perry. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
