Virginia Aileen Hoffman, 99, of Zellwood, Florida passed away on September 20, 2022. Ms. Hoffman was born on August 1, 1923 to the late James and Ethel Hoffman in Ramsey, Illinois. Ms. Hoffman is preceded in death by her sister Betty Zavadaski. She is survived by her niece Judy (Leslie) Smith; great niece and great nephew Noele Annetts and Eric Gasaway. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Aileen was a first cousin of mine and the favorite niece of my mother, Lola Donahue. I only met her and her parents, Jim and Ethel Hoffman, a few times, but they were all delightful people.
