Dirk Lance Copeland (56) was born August 24th, 1966 and passed away on February 26th, 2023 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and JoAnne Copeland and his brother Shawn. Dirk is survived by his sister-in-law, niece and nephew and by countless friends that are like family. Dirk was beloved by all. He cared and loved in the most deep and tangible way. He gave generously to all and so many have been proud to call him their friend. Dirk committed his earthly life and all of eternity to Jesus Christ and we find hope as we know he is now in the presence of the Lord. A Celebration of Life Service for Dirk will be on Sunday, March 12, 2023 at 2:00pm at Thrive Church Apopka, 951 N. Park Avenue, Apopka, Florida. A reception will follow after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Thrive Church Apopka’s Missionary Fund.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

I give my Condolences to all Dirks family. He has been a part of my family for 35 years. I will miss my buddy, my brother especially on Thanksgiving and Christmas because he always was part of it. I’m glad he is in a better place and not encumbered by life’s obstacles any longer.
