Walter Trent Jenkins, 73, one time Apopka resident, passed away on March 11, 2023. Mr. Jenkins was born on February 21, 1950 in Osaka, Japan. He is survived by his loving wife Darla Jenkins; children Amanda (Bradley) Jenkins Bogle; as well as grandchildren Colton Bogle and Kennedy Bogle. He was a member of the Orange County Masonic lodge #36 and was considered a Master Mason as of 2001. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
