Jeffrey Allen Caughel, 61, passed away on April 26, 2023, in the city of Orlando Florida
surrounded by his loved ones. He is survived by his father Jim Caughel, step-mom Gladys
Caughel, wife Jean Caughel, brother Steve Caughel, children Jeffrey James Caughel, Lindsey
Robert Caughel, Lacy Carson McCormack, and granddaughters Jade, Soliel, Riley, Kennedy, and
Parker Caughel.
Jeffrey was born in Croswell, Michigan on February 25, 1962 to Jim and Brenda Caughel. On
February 24, 1990 he married Jean in the beautiful backyard of her childhood home. Jeff was a
mechanical insulator for MSI where he worked loyally for over 20 years.
Jeff was a devoted father to his two sons and daughter. One of his greatest achievements in his
lifetime, by far, are the children whom he raised to be strong, courageous, and kind people.
Jeff was known to spend his weekends hunting and camping at his beloved property in
Kenansville FL or out on the ocean deep sea fishing. He was known for his affinity to the guitar
and was a skilled player in many bands. He was happiest outdoors, playing music, or fixing
something for somebody else. He was extremely handy and if you didn’t know how to fix
something you could count on Jeff to be the first one to figure it out. He was a generous man
with his time and his love, and he will be deeply missed by friends, family, and all who knew
him.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:30am on April 29 th at the Loomis Funeral Home on Main
Street in Apopka Florida. Flowers and condolences may be offered at 420 West Main Street
Apopka, FL 32712

Our thoughts and prayer are with the Caughel family. Jeff was such a wonderful man, I have many memories working with him for the last 10 or more years. My son and I have spent many weekends with him down at camp with jeff hunting and target shooting and just hanging around the fire, cooking and having a great time, he has taught my son many things and he will be greatly missed.

I was very sad to hear about Jeff. He was a lifetime friend to my Greg who passed in 2020. I didn’t know Jeff all that well except from Loose Change and the few gigs they had. I will always remember him by his nick name Greg always called him Snaaaaake Godspeed Jeff and I know youare jamming in heaven and I know Greg greeted you and called you Snaaake. My prayers are with your family and friends. Life is short always love each other and never take a day forgranted. You were a great guitar player and friend and from what I saw a family man. Gone too soon never forgotten. Rest in Peace Jeff.
