Baby Girl Lizelle Martinez, 7 months, of Apopka, Florida passed away on May 09, 2023. Ms. Martinez was born on September 16, 2022 in Orlando, Florida. She is survived by her loving parents Ezequiel and Lusia Martinez; siblings Leysa Martinez and Ezequiel D. Martinez; as well as many extended family members. She will be dearly missed by her many loved ones and friends.
Lizelle was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect known as TOF/PA/MAPCAS since birth. It was critical that she undergo a life-saving surgery to survive. She had surgery at only seven months old. While we had hoped for a positive outcome, her legacy as a heart warrior lives on through our efforts to raise awareness of CHD and preserve her memory. This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
