Erma Jean Dennis, 75, of Sorrento, Florida passed away on June 16, 2023. Mrs. Dennis was born on December 27, 1947 in Eustis, Florida to the late Herschel and Nina Haskins. She is preceded in death by her daughter Qwen (James) Langjan as well as her brother Jerry Haskins. She is survived by her loving husband Paul Dennis; 3 children; grandchildren Victoria (James) Horn, Brittany (Matthew) Newport, Herschel Langjan and 2 additional grandsons; great grandchildren Norah, Gracee, Nathan and a twin great grandson and great granddaughter on the way. She’ll be dearly missed by her loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
