Malford Arlon Adkinson, 76, of Apopka, Florida passed away on June 14, 2023. Mr. Adkinson was born on January 14, 1947 in New Brockton, Alabama. Mr. Adkinson is preceded in death by his brother Roger Adkinson. He is survived by his loving wife Willa Jean Adkinson; children Chana Adkinson, Stephanie Savio and Angela Hart; grandchildren Loren Forehand, TJ Forehand, Amanda Savio, Erica Savio, Aiden Hart and Pearla Hart; as well as his siblings Linda Ford and Michael Adkinson. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

I had been trying to reach Arlon for a few months to thank him for his huge kindness to me when I met him at the foreclosure auctions many years ago. I wanted to let him know that I had gotten what I wanted finally because of his help. I started to search around when I wasn’t hearing back from him and found this. I am so very sorry for your loss. He was a man who did random kindnesses and he bravely stood against those who ridiculed the underdogs.
