Virgil E. Boetcher, 93 of Zellwood, Florida died at 11:30AM Sunday, June 18th, 2023 at Advent Health Hospice Care, Altamonte Springs, Florida. He was born July 29, 1929 in Gaysport, Ohio, the son of the late Virgil H. Boetcher and Maybelle Boyse Boetcher. Virgil was a member of Corburn United Methodist Church where he served as their organist for 40 years. He loved music and played for many weddings, Chanter’s Men’s chorus and taught music as well. Virgil was a member of Shrine, 50 year Scottish Rite, Valley of Cambridge member, and Peerless Lodge in Cambridge, Ohio. Virgil worked as a District Accounting Supervisor as Columbia Gas of Ohio for 45 years.
He is survived by his wife of 75 years, Glenna Maxwell Boetcher, two children, Randy (Vicki) Boetcher, Steven (Kendra) Boetcher; four grandchildren Randee Boetcher, Kerry Berelsman (Bob) Henne, Kristin Boetcher (Jeremy) Davis, Jason (Jessica) Boetcher; five great grandchildren Coen Davis, Weston Davis, Grayson Boetcher, twins Cooper and Maverick Boetcher. He is survived by one brother John (Cathy) Boetcher. In addition to his parents, Virgil is preceded in death by his brother, Virgil was preceded in death by a brother Richard Boetcher.
The Loomis Funeral Home, Apopka, Florida is in charge of the arrangements. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
