Our beloved mother, wife and friend, Theresa “Teri” Ann Foltz, of Apopka Florida, passed away on September 30th, just a month shy of her 65th birthday.
Teri was born in Alexandria, Louisiana to Arthur and Helenmae Veard on October 29th, 1958. She was the youngest of 5 children. She attended East Lyme High School in Connecticut.
Teri met Stephen Foltz in May of 1979 at Poor Richards restaurant, in Waterford, Connecticut. After following him out to California to begin a new life, they married on March 29th of 1981 at San Francisco City Hall as Couple #2!
She was an Office Manager of Dr. Larry Levine’s Endodontics office in Terra Linda, CA for 20 years and then worked for GE Long Term care for 6 years before retiring. After moving back to Connecticut in 2003, she went back to school and received her Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Connecticut in 2009.
While living in California, she was entrenched in the Marin County community where she and Stephen raised their two daughters for 22 years. She was an avid Girl Scout troop leader in San Rafael, a member of the Dixie Soccer League Board, a long-standing member of the Vallecito PTA and earned the Volunteer of the Year award. She took joy in volunteering and was immensely grateful for the lifelong friends she made over these years.
Her passion was her family and travel. From adventurous camping trips, to Disneyworld, Lake Tahoe, Hawaii and Italy; Teri was the happiest when she was creating new experiences and memories with her family and loved ones.
Teri is preceded in death by her parents Arthur Veard and Helenmae Veard and brothers Timothy VeArd and Michael Veard.
Teri is survived by her best friend and husband, Stephen Guy Foltz: her two Daughters, Krisandra Foltz and Kellie Griffiths, her beloved niece Denyse Wise, son-in-laws Cody Carraway and Ben Griffiths: sister Madelyn Veard, brother Daniel Veard, and her 4 grandchildren Mierra, Addison, Kacie and Grayson.
A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, October 29th on her 65th Birthday at 3pm At Renewal Church in Apopka, Florida. It was Teri’s wish for this to be a colorful event celebrating her life and love and all are invited to join us!
The family requests those who wish to express their sympathy to consider making a donation to the Lewy Body Dementia Association in honor of Teri Foltz.
