Douglas Neal Welker, 72, of Apopka, Florida passed away on December 22, 2023. Mr. Welker was born on October 17, 1951 in Nampa, Idaho to the late Roger and Aida Welker. He is preceded in death by his sister Vicki Welker. He is survived by his loving wife Jacqui Welker; children Gina (Josh) Savory and Evan Welker; twin brother Phil (Jillianne) Welker and brothers Richard Welker and Robert (Teresa) Welker; grandchildren Arianna Welker, Jaden Joseph-Welker, Gabriella Welker, Logan Savory and Addison Savory; great grandchildren Jhene Welker as well as extended family, loved ones and friends.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
