John Franklin Pierce Thompson Jr, 92, of Winter Garden Florida, passed away March 14, 2024. He was born December 31, 1931 in Atlantic City, New Jersey. Mr Thompson is preceded in death by his loving wife, Chris and siblings Audry, Jane, David, Retta, and Robert, daughter Teresa, son Marty and grandson Rhett. He is survived by his brother Joe, children Rob, John, Cindy, Penny, Karen and Tamara, 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren.
He is singing praises with his Lord Jesus in heaven, but will be loved and missed by his many loved ones and friends.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
