Shirley Faye Cooper, a devoted Christian, wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on June 21, 2024 at the age of 77. Born on December 11, 1946, she touched many lives with her unwavering faith, kindness, and generosity.
Born and raised in Apopka, FL, Shirley was the daughter of Lowell E. Reed and Oma Lee Terry Reed.
Shirley was born again and an active member at Wekiva Springs Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School teacher. Her faith in God was evident in everything she did, from her involvement in church activities to the compassionate way she lived her daily life. Later, she became a member at Glad Tidings Church.
After 30 years of hard-work and service, she retired from Crown Cork & Seal Co and filled her free time with gardening.
Shirley was known for her warm hospitality, often opening her home to friends and family for gatherings filled with love, laughter, and delicious food. Her southern culinary skills were legendary, and she took great joy in sharing her recipes and cooking for those she loved.
She is survived by her children, Billy Ray Harrison, Scotty Gregory Harrison and Amy Lynd; and her 10 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren . She also leaves behind her siblings, Tommy West, Stella Wright, and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
Shirley will be remembered for her unwavering faith and her boundless love for her family and friends. Her life was a testament to the values she held dear: faith, family, and service to others. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A celebration of Shirley’s life will be held on Saturday, June 29th at Loomis Funeral Home at 10am, with Pastor Mike Matheny officiating

Billy Ray, Scotty, Shirley was your mother. Tommy, & Stella, she was your sister. I’m sorry for your loss. Shirley was my cousin, but she loved and treated all family the same. Words can’t explain, but she is in a better place free of pain. Shirley will truly be missed.
