Charlene R. Cecil, 88, of Zellwood, Florida passed away on July 16, 2024. Mrs. Cecil was born on September 15, 1935 in North Adams, Massachusetts. Mrs. Cecil is preceded in death by her children Randy Dean Cecil, Sandra Cecil and Dori Cecil. She is survived by her loving husband Ralph Cecil; son Bart Cecil; as well as 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
