Judy Christine Sikes Hudson, 78, of Leesburg, Florida passed away on October 14, 2024. Mrs. Hudson was born on February 14, 1946 in Jacksonville, Florida. Mrs. Hudson is preceded in death by her granddaughter Shawna; as well as her sister-in-law Maggie Sikes. She is survived by her loving husband Jerry T. Hudson; K9 companion Sassy; children Tony Siebert, Shellie (Jeff) Contos and Michelle (Steve) Summers; grandchildren Jacob, Skylar, Cole, Carter (Abby), Cooper and Lance; siblings Gene Sikes and Jerry Sikes; as well as 4 great grandchildren. Mrs. Hudson was a longtime resident of Apopka, Florida and graduated from Apopka High School in 1964. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.

Judy was such a loving, wonderful friend. She was always crocheting for me wash rags to give out as Christmas gifts. This will be my first year without her. The love she and Jerry and Sassy had was so amazing. I am glad and blessed to love on her her last days.
