Kathy Boyd, 64, of Orlando, Florida passed away on November 30, 2022. She was born on March 15, 1958 in Clearwater, Florida. Mrs. Boyd is preceded in death by her loving husband Charles Boyd; mother Susie Smith; daughter Nakia Boyd; and grandson Borise Hayes. She is survived by her children Cerise Boyd and Nacoya Boyd; grandchildren Shawnterise Evans and Hycianna Maximin; siblings Thomas Hinson, Evelyn Thomas, Everette Hinson, Polly Ervin, Shinel Jones, and Christine Smith. She will be missed by her many loved ones and friends.
This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
