Betty Jean Crisco, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025, in Apopka, Florida.
Born on August 21, 1933, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, Betty eventually came to Orlando, Florida where she created a loving home, filled with warmth, and resilience.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Markei Barnett Jackson, Naomi Juanita Parlette, and her husband Vernon Eugene Crisco. She is survived by her three daughters and stepson, Patrician Ferguson & Walter Ferguson of Apopka, Pamela Whipple & Kimon Anemogiannis of Apopka, Sharon Crisco & Peter Major of Isabella, Puerto Rico, and Shane Crisco & Leah Taylor of Conway North Carolina. Betty was a proud grandmother of Amy & Jason Chandler, Justin & Bonnie Whipple, Jesse Ferguson, and Grant Whipple. Betty was a proud great grandmother of Jeffery Laux, Zella Chandler, Dylan Whipple, Ayden Chandler, and Taylor Whipple. She is survived by her sister, Nancy Grdijan of Hamptonville, North Carolina, and countless others.
Betty was the epitome of grace and strength, known for her kindness, elegance, and beauty. A devoted wife and mother, she faced life’s challenges with resilience and determination, always with her family first. A true class act.
Betty was a woman of God that dedicated her life to serving in the church and raising her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren consistently sharing her beliefs. She was a true domestic goddess. She kept an immaculate house, was a great cook & baker, and raised all of us with love and kindness.
Betty’s favorite sports were basketball, football, and golf. She loved bowling.
Her boundless generosity, radiant spirit, and unwavering devotion to those she loved will be missed, yet her legacy of kindness, courage, and strength will live on in all who had the privilege and pleasure of knowing her.
All arrangements have been made with Loomis Funeral Home @ 420 W. Main Street, Apopka, Florida.
A graveside service will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Gotha, Florida on Monday, February 24, 2025 @ 10 am.
