A piece of my heart is gone forever as Caleb took it with him. He was truly my little buddy. He was smart witted and his smile was contagious. I enjoyed car rides with him as there was never a silent moment; goodness he could talk your ear off! I especially loved how he would jokingly pick on me about my driving or choice of music or lack of vocal talent.
Steven and Megan, Caleb was a one-of-a-kind, amazing, compassionate, strong-willed, intelligent young man. He will be missed every.single.day. His voice is permanently etched in my memory as he recently said to Madi and I that he will “protect Madi and make sure she doesn’t get bullied; be like her personal bodyguard” as she enters middle school this coming year and I didn’t doubt him one bit! He was a tough boy!
I told Madi that Caleb will still keep his promise, that he will always be with her keeping her safe… only difference now is that he has been officially appointed as her guardian angel watching over her every step of the way.
Madi and I love you guys and will help keep Caleb’s memories alive. I’m soo sorry for the hurt you are going through, love you all soo much!
Diane and Madilyn
