Dorothy Jean Jordan

Dot Brooks Jordan, age 95, of Zellwood, FL, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 following a long life filled with love and faith. All who knew Dot can speak to the incredible grace she carried in life. Dot was a charming, God-loving woman who cared deeply for her friends and family. She was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.

 Dot was preceded in death by her parents, John Dewey Downey and Goldie High Downey, her sisters, Margaret Edwards, Pat Maddox, Peggy Ann Wolfe, and Mary Francis Taylor, her brother, John Dewey Downey, Jr., her first husband, Allen Cone Brooks, and stepson, Kevin Jordan. 

Dot is survived by her second husband of 23 years, Tim Jordan, Jr. of Zellwood, FL, along with her children, Ron Brooks and his wife Kay, Richard Brooks, and Billy Brooks, her grandchildren, Greg Brooks and his wife Danielle, Chris Brooks and his wife Karlena, Nicole Collins and her husband Taylor, and Katie Martino, her 10 great-grandchild, Colby, Brooks, Jaci, Hartley, Faith, Hope, Sydney, Nash, Austin, and Paycyn, and her 3 great-great-grandchild, Willow, Myla Beth, and Olivia, and her step-children, Neil Jordan (Julie) and Holly Jordan Condrey (Jack), Jeanette Jordan, their 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 

Dot was a graduate of McGeeHee Arkansas High School where she played basketball and was Miss Southeast Arkansas. Dot was a Housewife and Bookkeeper for all of Cone’s family businesses. Dot was also a Tupperware and Mary Kay dealer. She enjoyed ceramic pottery making, crocheting, and Bridge. She was an active church member and Sunday School Teacher. Dot’s faith was inspiring. Dot and Cone learned camping and fishing and owned a fishing camp on Lake Chico’s in Lake Village Arkansas. Dot loved cooking for her family and friends. Dot was a light and we will miss her very much.
