Billy Joe Cox, 73, of Tavares, Florida passed away on February 17, 2023. Mr. Cox was born on May 16, 1949 in Joplin, Missouri. Mr. Cox is survived by his loving wife Barbara Cox; children Troy M. (Michelle) Cox, Lori C. (Ernesto) Cuevas; Laci R. (Ronald) DaSilva; and Christopher “Toby” (April) Cox; as well as 9 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He will be missed by his many loved ones and friends.
Please join the Cox Family for a small reception following the Celebration of Life for Pastor Cox. We will gather for light refreshments, prayers, and stories in the fellowship hall at First Baptist Church Umatilla immediately after the service.

This heritage started 67 years ago with Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, who founded the First Baptist Church of Daytona Beach, Florida, in 1934. In 1938 Francis E. Loomis, son of Pastor Herbert F. Loomis, received his license to practice Mortuary Science and in 1941 established Loomis Funeral Home of Winter Garden, FL.
