Dr. Horace “C” Elliott died peacefully at home on August 19, 2016 in Apopka, Florida at the age of 73.
He is survived by his wife, Cavel Elliott; children, Sandra, Marcia, Coleen, Zoya, and step-daughter Tamika ; siblings, Ridel “Sonny, Howard, Leslie, Wesley, Oscar, Paul, Donovan, Delroy, Hyacinth, Verna, Sharon and Paulette. He is preceded in death by his Mom and dad, daughter Lesa, and siblings Hugh and Jocelyn.
Horace was born on December 28, 1942 in Clarendon, Jamaica West Indies to Imogene and Norval Elliott.
Horace was formally educated from High School and College in Jamaica West Indies.
Horace migrated to Canada in 1966 where he married Myrtle. They lived a very full life together and nurtured and grew their two Children.
Through Horace’s love and aspiration to advance his education he enrolled in American Coastline University and earned his PHD in Business.
While in Jamaica Horace worked as a Public Accountant. In Canada Horace enjoyed his profession as an auditor for the Canadian Federal Government.
Many years after the ending of his first marriage, he migrated to the United States where he married Cavel in 1997 and lived with his daughter, Zoya and step-daughter, Tamika.
He continued in a pursuit of excellence and education and embarked on a career as a Real Estate Broker. In his work as a Real Estate Broker he has helped many people to realize their dreams of owning a home or of selling their homes.
Horace was a generous and dedicated person, passionate about helping, teaching and motivating people to achieve their dreams. He was a dedicated and active member of the Free Masons. Music was one of his passion, which he pursued as a producer. He also loved soccer and would enjoy playing with his friends in Jamaica in his young days.
Horace will me sadly missed by his wife, his children, siblings, other relatives and friends.
A funeral is scheduled for 10am on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Loomis Family Funeral Home in Apopka, FL., with a reception to follow at Errol Estate Country Club, Apopka, FL. Pastor Victoria will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.
