Malcolm (Mac) Hollimon, 67, of Apopka, FL passed on Friday, November 30, at home surrounded by his family. Mac was born on February 26, 1951 to Rhoda and Elbridge Hollimon in Mississippi and was the youngest of seven children, five of which preceded him in death. Mac served in the United States Army from 1971-1977 as Sergeant in the 2nd Battalion 48th Infantry. While stationed over seas he met and married his wife Connie, the two were married for 41 years and together have two daughters and four grandchildren. Mac earned his living as an A/C Technician for over 30 years and kept many families cool in the dead of summer. He had a deep love for his family and knack for making people laugh. Anyone that knew Mac, knew he was trustworthy, kept to his word, and would give the shirt off his back for someone in need. His humble demeanor and great sense of humor will be greatly missed. Mac is survived by his wife, Connie; daughters, Vanessa Cruz and Sheena Hollimon; grandchildren Heidi, Emily, Jayden, and Miles who deeply miss their “Paka”; a brother, Jimmy Hollimon of Texas, and nieces, nephews, and cousins in Mississippi. Family, friends, and others whose lives were touched by Mac are invited to celebrate his life, mourn, and laugh together at Loomis Funeral Home at 420 W. Main Street, Apopka, FL 32712 on Friday, December 14, at 1:00 PM (informal gathering to take place in Rock Springs Ridge immediately following).
