MELANIE KING says
I have known Mary Lee all of my life, she was my 3rd grade teacher at Dream Lake where we had a luau, reading loft and a ball of fun of learning. She instilled in me the love of reading and books. She was a class act. I had the privledge to take her around on her errands and eating out times the last few yrs. and we shared many laughs, pep talks to me about things, life in general, etc. She and I formed a more special relationship in the end as felt like the scenario with tuesdays with Morrie except with Mary Lee of course. I admired her alot, she will be missed and loved her a whole lot, until I see her again, thank you Mary Lee for all you did for me and many as Apopka was lucky to have such a remarkable teacher and friend!
The Maxson family says
We had a blessed connection to Mary Lee because Andrew Weir was not only our son Tom's best friend while growing up but Andrew became part of our family. We gladly accepted him into our home and our lives and we love him dearly to this day. We also came to know Mary Lee well during this time, we learned a lot from her and came to love her very much. She gave Andrew a wonderful home and she raised him with loving heart and a strong Christian presence impressing upon him good old fashioned values. Mary Lee will be strongly missed by us. We have been blessed to have had her in our lives. The Maxson family -Bill and Diane; Meredith and husband, Matt and daughter, Sadie; Tom and wife, Kelly; and Matthew.
